Our Foundation

For over 30 years Rockwall Bible Church has proclaimed the Good News of Jesus Christ to the Lake Ray Hubbard community. Born from a prayer meeting and a youth ministry, Rockwall Bible Church (RBC), (formerly called Lake Ray Hubbard Bible Church), has continued to seek and serve God. Rockwall Bible Church exists to glorify God through imparting the changeless Word of God to an ever-changing society. In a sea of moral flux, RBC stands on its middle name - Bible.

The Bible is the final authority for what we believe and do.

Our Framework

RBC stands without apology on the fundamentals of historic Biblical Christianity. We desire for children, teens and adults to be grounded in Biblical truth and to know what they believe. Our doctrinal distinctives include the following truths:

  • Verbal plenary inspiration of the Scriputures
  • Inerrancy and infallibility of the Bible
  • Sinfulness and total depravity of all mankind
  • Salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone
  • Virgin birth of the Lord Jesus
  • Substitutionary satisfactory death of Christ
  • Bodily, resurrection of Christ
  • Pre-tribulational rapture of the Church
  • Millennial reign of the Lord
  • Believer's baptism by immersion
  • The Lord's table in memory of Jesus

Our Features

Family Emphasis - We believe it is edifying to be together for worship, fellowship, prayer and plain old fun. We encourage husbands and fathers to be godly, biblical, loving leaders in the home and in the church. We support moms in their praise-worthy task of child-rearing and we bless the children with the security of seeing parents involved in worship and ministry with them. Our hearts and homes reach out to those in need of family as we seek to be family to them.

Team Ministry - God has blessed the church with godly, spiritual leaders: elders and deacons who work together to carry out the biblical mission of the church.

Edifying Worship - In our worship, we edify each other through our singing of hymns and choruses (Ephesians 5:18, 19). The centerpiece of our worship is Christ (the Living Word) and the Bible (the Written Word). We are on guard against the trends of lapsing into entertainment to the exclusion of edification.

Discipleship - One by one, Jesus ministered to a few close to Him. We employ the same method at RBC as we seek to train men, ladies, teens and children unto godliness.

Biblical Emphasis - We are denominationally unaffiliated, but this does not mean we are doctrinally nondescript. We submit our beliefs and practices to the Scriptures in the spirit of the Bereans who searched the Scriptures daily to see whether those things were so (Acts 17:11).

Corporate Prayer - One very important aspect of biblical ministry is prayer. RBC holds a corporate gathering for prayer. While not entertaining, this priority spiritual discipline is a tool God uses for our edification.
